This fancy donkey cart sits outside of Italy but I seem to recall it first showed up at the Spain pavilion for one of the Food and Wine festivals... Not sure if anyone can confirm it either way but it does make a nice street vendor.
...a barrel of monkeys! With monkeys as big as you are, which means you can only be one place, at Toy Story Mania where the games are as big as your ego (until you go to jail, do not pass Go, do not collect $200)
It's time for breakfast! You and Kellogg's cereal should be in pictures - you know that, right? Well if you don't have your big contract with the studio done quite yet maybe just a piece of fruit from the Fairfax Market will have to do for today...
We all scream for ice cream - especially when the ice cream truck looks this cool! On the edge of Anandapur you can find this wild truck, even if you aren't hungry be sure to check out the artwork...
The banners outside of the Great Movie Ride showcase just a few of the great movies. They are a colorful touch, I've always appreciated the extra splash of color - and check out those dragons on top!
In the platz in Germany there is a big statue of St. George fighting a dragon. A part of the main fountain, it is a central gathering place in the pavilion.
A fun and colorful sign welcomes visitors to the Beastly Bazaar shop on Discovery Island. With colorful animals all around the store logo keeps to the whimsical feel of the island.
Ev'ryone has a Laughing Place! This week the desktop takes us to Critter Country and their colorful sign with all sorts of critters welcoming you to their land...
Preceding the explosion in Scene 24 you have something of a chopper escape and invasion scene. The movie? Beats me, but the stunt crews are getting ready to go from the looks of things in the Backlot Express...
This week's belated desktop: Space Mountain and the new bright green look! It was barely open a week when this was shot and the lines were still massive so I've yet to actually ride the renovated version, yet another reason for a research trip!
These three creatures are all merged as one in a painting found in one of the Animal Kingdom shops on Discovery Island. I believe it is in the Beastly Bazaar but it would appear a research trip is in order to make sure!
Mitsukoshi tends to put US department stores to shame when it comes to age. And their mini-department store in the Japan pavilion is really something, with a little bit of everything it seems the place always seems to attract a crowd.
Look around Adventureland and you can find this ad for Dole Pineapple Spears. I could go for a Dole Whip right about now. The fresh, refreshing taste is terrific - and the fact that you are in Adventureland never hurts!
Some places have bus stops, some places subway stops, but you know you're having fun when you see a monorail stop! And the Prototype font and 80's era monorail logo is a great Epcot throwback that looks even better when lit at night.
This week our desktop is in New York City. And how often do you get to see an empty street like that? No cars, no people... It almost feels surreal, like a movie set. Oh wait...
Sort of appropriate for the internet challenged weekend, but the wires are back, the service is running, and we're once again live! Though the shop owners at this store in Ananadapur have other ideas about when they are going to open up shop...
Need to head back to Future World and your feet just won't get you there? Try the Friendship boats. They ferry guests around the World Showcase lagoon and can be an interesting way to see the world... And by the way, happy new year!
