Flowers and windvanes

The rooftops around Fantasyland are fascinating to look at with their variety of influences and styles. Take Pinocchio's Village Haus - you feel like you are in a small German town, complete with flowers in the window boxes...

Early days of grilling

Not nearly as fancy as your Weber but back in the day a big ol' meal in this pot over a fire could certainly feed the family! Look for it in Liberty Square...

Human Fit Tailors

The beyond belated post for yesterday is here! And aren't you glad that the tailors can fit humans, I would really hate to see the yeti fit tailors... While you wait you can grab a bit at Bil's Kitchen...

Desktop: German vacation

This week we are going to Germany for a brat, a pretzel, and a quick break by the central fountain before you hit the shops. If you are lucky you've timed it right to hit the clock as it chimes...

Desktop: Four seasons, one planet

This week we're off to The Land in honor of Earth Day. The hot air balloons floating above you as you grab a bite to eat after riding Listen to the Land represent each of the seasons floating around this big planet. I still miss the central old fountain and the creative umbrellas from before the rehab... Don't forget to take the Behind the Seeds tour to learn more about how to coexist with nature and see how they do things at the pavilion. It is a great (and cheap!) tour.

El Pirata

El Pirata y El Perico Restaurante sits right across from Pirates of the Caribbean and, for as long as I've been going to WDW, has never once been open when I'm there. Sigh, that's what I get for going in the off season to avoid the crowds! At least the signage is interesting, someday maybe I'll be able to sample the menu...

Welcome to the Tall Tale Inn

These signs hang near one of the entrances to the Tall Tale Inn and Cafe in Frontierland. This eatery is huge - hidden behind a number of facades it can hold a ton of people and has excellent theming... Read up on the story if you have a minute and are waiting for the rest of your party...

Crash in for a good meal

It looks like a UFO has crashed into the Sci-Fi Dine In sign... This retro-futuristic sign greets diners as they are about to hit the drive in for some movies where the food is more than just popcorn and the cars all have tables...

Snack break

This quick service shack sits on the path between Africa and Asia - keep an eye out for it if the trek between lands is making you hungry. Or if you are just hungry for some interesting architecture.

Your car is being towed...

Just kidding (it is April Fools Day - that was kind of lame). But if you park your stroller in the wrong spot in Mickey's Toontown Fair Pete is going to impound it. And you really don't want to deal with Pete on a bad day!
