You can stay at the Leopard Lodge if you are headed on a wildlife adventure or if you are more of an economical tourist you might try the Wisdom Guest House - both conveniently located in Anandapur...
Another look at the post-queue at Space Mountain, one of the high tech transporters beaming intergalactic packages back to the labs is set up right next to one of the holes down to the dig site. Think Indiana Jones of the 22nd century! And somehow I've hit 800 posts here at the Backside of Water - go figure!
Just in time for the holiday weekend! The great outdoors calls, it is summer time, get out there and enjoy it! Even if you aren't up for much kayaking you can at least get soaked on the Grizzly River Run...
Tucked deep in the back of Hollywood Blvd in California Adventure is this one-time Coke refreshment stand. Like many other food joints in DCA it has long been shuttered, yet the lights still carry on every night...
Toontown has a very understated train station, it isn't nearly as elaborate as another of the other stations in either of the US parks... It is more utilitarian with a few decorations here and there as well as the only water tower on the loop track for the locomotives to fill up...

Spring has certainly sprung and this week's desktop features the neat gardens that line the Promenade in Morocco. The water wheel and classical geometric designs make it a calming place to just relax for a few minutes as the world rushes by...
And here we have.... the Lab Retriever. The punch line to the FedEx shipping story at the end of the Space Mountain exit queue was the robot dog seen here, munching contentedly on a bone from the archeological digs on another planet...
When in New Orleans Square be sure to grab a quick bite at the French Market. With outdoor seating, live jazz, and a neat serving area inside with plenty of details it is a favorite stop for me on any trip to Disneyland. This sign and wrought-iron fence is just one of the authentic accents...
And....Action! Is it just me or does the little inflatable Gonzo is on look like a cross between Rizzo and Mickey? Decide for yourself the next time you are headed to Muppet Vision in MGM...
